VPHI

This is the workspace project for VPHI, a distribution and trading company jointly established by Valeo, the major French auto parts corporation, and Pyeonghwa Valeo, a domestic powertrain components company. Since the condition was to use the building, completed in 1983, as it was, the project began with repairing the aged facilities and improving the environment. The most effective change was exposing the ceiling. By stripping away the finishes and securing volume, we created an entirely different sense of space within the same floor area, breathing new life into a space that had endured the passage of long years.
