SPACE OF INSIGHTFULNESS_The depth of accumulated time

An office project for UTC Investment, the venture capital arm of the Daesang Group, established in 1988. The starting point of this project was to express in space the more than 30 years of expertise and insight the company has built. The wall thickness was designed with repeating steps so that surfaces of differing protrusion depths stack layer upon layer, and through this structural sense of depth we sought to translate into spatial language the wisdom of an elder that comes from long experience and discernment. Instead of ornate finishes, the project captures UTC Investment's identity through the density of space created by thickness and layering, grounded in the simple sculptural form of mass and a restrained tone.
